Birth place of Hanuman
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman was born in Anjana Parvat, which is located in the Kishkindha region in present-day Hampi, in the Indian state of Karnataka. Anjana Parvat is also known as Anjaneri mountain, and it is believed to be the birthplace of Hanuman's mother, Anjana. Anjaneri is situated near the city of Nasik in the state of Maharashtra.
The story goes that Anjana was an apsara (celestial nymph) who was cursed by a sage to be born on Earth as a monkey. She was then reborn as a female monkey, and it was on the Anjana Parvat that she gave birth to Hanuman. The mountain is named after her, and it is considered a sacred site for devotees of Lord Hanuman.
Today, there are several temples dedicated to Hanuman in and around the Hampi region, including the Anjaneya Temple located on top of the Anjana Parvat. The temple is believed to be over 1,500 years old and is a popular pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Hanuman.
